The Shy Housewife (“The Shy Housewife,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of our service to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”), we will respond to properly submitted notices of alleged copyright infringement.

If you are depicted in content here and did not consent, or wish to have content removed for any reason, please use the contact path on our Consent & Content page for the fastest response. This page covers formal copyright claims.

1. Reporting alleged infringement

If you believe that content available through The Shy Housewife infringes your copyright, you may submit a written takedown notice to our designated agent (see contact below). To be effective, your notice should include the information required by the DMCA, described in the next section.

2. What your notice must include

A valid takedown notice should include: (a) a physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf; (b) identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed; (c) identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing and information reasonably sufficient to let us locate it, such as the URL; (d) your contact information, including address, telephone number, and email; (e) a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and (f) a statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

3. Our response

Upon receiving a valid notice, Quiet Porch Digital Media LLC will remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material and make a reasonable effort to notify the affected user. We may also terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are repeat infringers.

4. Counter-notification

If you believe your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice. It should include your signature, identification of the removed material and its prior location, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed in error, your contact information, and consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate court. We may restore the material as permitted by the DMCA.

5. Designated agent & contact

Send notices and counter-notices to our designated copyright agent at info@quietporchdigitalmedia.com. Please note that under the DMCA, you may be liable for damages if you knowingly misrepresent that material is infringing or was removed in error.
